The Ichthus Institute was established in 2009 is a ministry of Darrell C. Porter Evangelistic Association, (DCPEA) Inc., located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The institute was formed as an educational outreach to the community, providing Christ-centered, Bible-based citywide seminars and conferences on topics that range from eternal Salvation to health and nutrition to prophecy and end time events, and more.

For over 45 years has recognized an increasing emptiness on the part of the average citizen about what the Bible says on any given subject, including many Christians. Young people have little to no access to biblical teachings in America’s public schools. An alarming number have never even heard about Jesus as the eternal Savior, nor the truth about heaven, hell, nor even how to treat your neighbor properly. Most live by their own ideas or the whims of a culture detached from the principles and commands of heaven. The pain and loss often seen from such ignorance so grieved him through the years till he decided to do something to bring the Word of God to where the people are – their own community – to strengthen the saved and draw in the unsaved.
